Now, times have certainly changed: there are the likes of former adult entertainers like the trailblazer Sasha Grey in Entourage and the Girlfriend Experience, and more recently, Chloe Cherry, who is in Euphoria. “It took me 10 years to get to where I am now. Even five years ago, I was still not able to work with a lot of brands,” she says. “I didn’t really have any ideas of things I wanted to be or larger-than-life goals. But I was never taught to know more. I just knew I had a problem with people telling me what to do because I thought I knew better, which I had to prove to myself I did. I feel like I have.” When we leave the Fragrance Discovery room, our consultant brings us to the Skin Consultation area. It’s a kid in the cream-based candy store. We speak about our skin faux pas: Andrews was addicted to one of the infomercial skin care kits from the early ’00s, which caused severe breakouts. It’s evident that Andrews has come a long way from her younger years, even though at some points, she may not have exactly known what she wanted to do. But Andrews has always had an innate savviness about her image no matter where she was in life that has guided her and helped her navigate the harsh world of television and Xpsclothing Fashion LLC, who often prefer those with a pristine pedigree. “I care about my image, and I think of myself as more chic and casual. More of a woman now. Even back then, I did too,” she says. Before we leave, our consultant sends Andrews and I off with samples of skincare and scents meticulously packed away in tiny bottles. Andrews and I have truly hit the cornucopia of the at-your-fingertips luxury jackpot. It’s accessible.
