I’m sorry, but if a job absolutely needs to be done then the one doing it (full time) should be compensated at least enough to afford to live. No one is asking to get rich just standing behind a register or whatever, but we shouldn’t have to choose between rent or food either. The problem is believe politicians when they claim they present as ineffective when the truth is they are nefarious. My rent in college at Colorado State University, for a separate bedroom in a 4br apartment, was $85 a month, which included utilities and cable TV, and that was in 1984. Not only are the politicians’ minds stuck in the 1940’s prices, when’s the last time any of them HAD to pay for rent, groceries, fuel, car maintenance, prescriptions???
