One time, I had to call verizon support (Which used an Indian call center) and I was nice to the Le moon trending classic shirt and I will buy this guy on the phone. After he resolved what I asked him to do, he started crying and told me that I was the first person to be nice to him in a long time. I legit had to console him for couple minutes! Made me think how bad those folks are treated on a regular basis God, I hope I never turn into one of these self-centered, miserable, disrespectful, and unaware assholes. I see so many people who are so miserable and impatient, I don’t get it. I know we all have our hard time and rough days, but even when I’m going through a hard time, I still treat everyone with respect. Years ago, a customer service rep gave me a discount coupon just because I had been polite in our interactions and hadn’t blamed him for a problem that he obviously could do nothing about personally. There’s an older lady that shops at my work maybe twice a week, and always goes up to every single employee and thanks them. “I appreciate you and everything that you do. Thank you.” Every. Single. Time. I love her so much.
