They think I am cutting them off, because I am only going 10 over the limit, and they want to go 20 over. One of those “no good deeds goes unpunished” situations. I get over to let some of the fastest traffic pass, but now I am not allowed back in when I need to pass? Easier and safer for me to just stay in the fast lane. Where I’m from, people use both lanes to cruise there’s no passing lane. It’s much better. The biggest problem I’ve seen with the logic for left lane only for passing is that when there’s heavy traffic even if you are going 5-10miles faster than the speed limit there’s people coming up behind you trying to pass you and expect you to move out of the way for them. 99% sure everybody just thinks the left lane is the fast lane people don’t leave that lane they stay in it the whole time. The best state I’ve come across for this was Oregon, especially I-84. If someone drives up behind a slower car in the left lane, the Oregon who is traveling slower almost always immediately moves over to let the faster vehicle pass. Damn I miss that…
