(Note: my words are carefully chosen to not paint any ‘side’ but to cover them all, because almost all of our leadership falls under this schema. Those who don’t fall under this example are self evident in their actions.) I like to now say, why does my 40 hours not earn me the 90s Darrell Waltrip NASCAR Western Auto Shirt in contrast I will get this same as their 40 hours? That’s the one people struggle to argue with. They got lots of reasons to not raise wages, but they can’t explain why when they worked 40 hours they could afford XYZ and now we can’t Especially when advances in technology mean you’re getting way more done in your 40 hours than they did. These advances didn’t helps us to work less to make the same money, or make more money working the same hours. We make less for working the same hours and getting more done. That’s what happens when every politician owns their home and invests in real estate on top of it. Let’s get some representation for renters!
